CPU benchmark online
Test your processor in the browser without installing anything. ApexMark ray-traces the same image first on one worker, then on multiple usable workers. A separate dependent-lookup test measures cache behavior. Only complete, verified work earns a CPU score.
Run the benchmarkWhat the CPU benchmark measures
The same fixed, versioned image is rendered first on one worker, then on multiple usable workers. That gives you single-core and multi-core ray-tracing throughput. A separate ladder of dependent lookups tests how the processor handles its cache levels.
Completed image sections are checked against published hashes, and the cache walk is checked against a published signature. Incorrect work or an incomplete cache ladder remains diagnostic evidence, not a scored CPU result.
How to get a reliable CPU score
- Plug a laptop in and select its performance power mode.
- Close heavy apps, extra tabs and extensions, and keep the tab visible until the run ends.
- Run it twice and keep the best clean result: thermals and background load cause most of the noise.
- Compare results only within the same browser and version.
CPU benchmark vs. a native tool
ApexMark runs JavaScript in browser workers, so its result includes the browser engine, scheduling and operating system as well as the processor. It does not replace a native suite, and its scores are not interchangeable with other tools. Compare like-for-like runs on the same protocol.
Frequently asked questions
Is an online CPU benchmark accurate?
It measures how quickly this browser completes fixed, verified CPU workloads. Power mode, heat and background activity affect the result. Compare runs made with the same protocol, browser and version.
Does the CPU benchmark use all my cores?
The test renders on one worker, then on multiple workers. The multi-core phase uses the logical processor count the browser exposes, subject to its worker limit and safety checks.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs entirely in a modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
