ApexMark › WebGPU benchmark
WebGPU benchmark
ApexMark renders a real WebGPU scene, then runs a separate verified compute profile. Both parts must complete before the public graphics result can be scored and compared.
Run the benchmarkWhat is measured
- Rendering: a visible WebGPU scene at increasing resolutions, with each measured level checked.
- Compute: a separate verified WebGPU profile. It must complete along with rendering for a comparable graphics score.
- Context: browser, graphics adapter and protocol version recorded with the result.
Is WebGPU available on my device?
Start the GPU test to check whether this browser exposes WebGPU. If it does not, ApexMark reports the limitation; other available tests can still run, though there will be no complete device score without GPU.
Frequently asked questions
What is WebGPU?
The modern browser API that gives web pages direct, efficient access to the GPU for graphics and compute, succeeding WebGL.
Which browsers support WebGPU?
Recent Chrome, Edge and Safari versions can expose WebGPU, but availability depends on the operating system, device and settings. ApexMark checks support before running the GPU test.
